Wanting to learn how to sing or improve your singing ability through voice lessons? Susan at Day Break Sing is looking for eager students with daytime availability.
Trained in both classical and modern music growing up, Susan is well-versed in a variety of genres. She won a singing contest held in Chicago by Yehyang, a Korean Contemporary Christian recording label, allowing her to travel to South Korea and sing at churches, Army bases, and TV broadcasts. Susan currently sings in the St. Louis Chamber Chorus which holds concerts all year around. Susan can give you the same comfort and confidence in your own singing that has allowed her to perform in front of huge audiences. She also teaches beginner piano to voice students that are interested so they can broaden their understanding of music.

"Susan is a professional and a virtuoso. She is able to relate her expertise to anyone, from beginner to advanced, who wants to learn. She is never intimidating and only shows encouragement. Susan takes the time to learn an individual’s voice strengths, weaknesses and desired style. She then formulates a customized individual plan that is not a cookie cutter approach. She identifies songs and artist that she knows the student will like and that coaching style brings enthusiasm to practice and improves the outcome. She instills confidence that allows the student to sing and perform in front of anyone. Susan has tremendous patience with students who do not read music, and is willing to teach if desired. Her love of teaching is amazing and she gets joy out watching her students’ progress." - Jackie Abels (Financial Advisor)
“Like to sing but don’t know where those notes are exactly? Have an idea for a song but the melody is hiding in the closet? Wanna move your voice from the shower stall to a recording booth? Do what I did. Find someone who knows something you want to learn and stick to them like glue. Call Susan and reserve a weekly spot on her piano bench. She’s a taskmaster and has a degree in voice, so you’ll be working. But she’s also a great gal and fun to hang out with.” - Phil Helfrich (Independent Journalist)
